2017 Giant Roam 2 Disc

With the confidence of a mountain bike and the quickness of a road bike, this bike is ready for streets, paths or trails. The all-new Giant Roam 2 Disc is built for multi-purpose adventure, sporting the best qualities of both a mountain bike and a road bike. With front suspension, smooth and powerful disc brakes, and trail-ready components, it can take some bumps on rough city roads. And if the road turns into a trail, you’re ready with Roam. Comments:

I have had the bike for about 3 weeks and so far I have no complaints! I was a little concerned about the saddle and comfort level but even after a 2 hour ride, everything feels great. I was looking at buying the Trek DS 2 which was more expensive and was a 24 speed instead of the 27 speed, and also had mechanical disc brakes instead of hydraulic discs that the Roam 2 has. Overall, I think this bike was a better deal than the Trek due to the higher quality components and the cheaper price tag. The bike shifts like a dream and rides very smoothly. I haven't gone on any intense trails but I did take it off road while camping last weekend and it handled very well. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and want to thank the awesome staff at Dutch Cycle in Regina for top notch customer service!

I've ridden over 6,100 miles in two years. Flat tires were driving me crazy. Solved the problem with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires. 3,000 with not one flat.

      Comments:

I found this bike is really well balanced for a hybrid. I found it easy to ride fast for commuting and it can take a bumpy gravel path in stride. Good for jumping curbs. I know this next point is contentious but I wish bikes came with a stock kickstand option.I Had a struggle installing because frame is weird shape.

      Comments:

I bought this bike about a week ago. I use it to commute to work. I'm very glad I was shown this bike as it has all the things I need to get me to work and still has the ability to do some off roading if needed. This is my first real "new" age bike; I have only ever have own Canadian Tire bikes prior. The difference is huge! The tires allow me to pedal without getting tired too easily, and I can coast for a block or two. My biggest con for this bike is that the saddle is a bit hard, but I believe that the bike is intended to be rode with proper biking clothing. Regardless, for a cheap fix you can change out the seat for a more comfortable ride if needed.
